So I've had no time whatsoever to keep the blog updated and am looking forward to finishing up summer classes and having time to post up the following for you guys:
- Interview with Alice Austin (former guitarist of Zola Turn)
- Interview with Jason of the Problemaddicts
- Interview with Immortal Technique after his show at Higher Ground
- Studio photos
- The BHS Accapella group, the Burlingtones, live in the studio!
- Some ridiculous PSAs
- Interview with DJ Craig Mitchell, owner of Club Lift, who will be guest hosting a show next week as well!
- Video footage of the Problemaddicts freestyling a set up in the studio
- DJ battle from last week between DJ Disclaimer and VAKKUUM
Thanks for the patience! (As Chris would say..."Keep it locked!")

Stir Crazy...
So apparently this is what happens when you leave Anaii alone up in the studio for too long...
Had a good time none-the-less. Some audio clips coming soon and hopefully some video as well. I had Alice Austin (http://www.myspace.com/alicejaustin) , the former guitarist from the all girl rock band Zola Turn, up for an interview and promo of her new and first solo release. If you missed the show at the Monkey, shame on you!!!

Kevin from Sour Boy (http://www.myspace.com/sourboymusic) kept me company as well and we chatted about the band's upcoming shows. Lastly, Jason from the Massachusetts hip-hop group, The Problemaddicts (http://www.myspace.com/theproblemaddicts) called up for a phone interview. I like their catch phrase of "problems, like we've all got 'em, and addicts, like we all know one".
All those should be posted within the week. I set up a system of recording the shows with cassette tapes through a boombox I keep at the station and then using an 1/8" to 1/8" cord from that into my laptop and recording into Garageband and then finally exporting the file into Itunes. Phew! So my apologies for getting content up so slowly for you all to enjoy.
I'll be on, as usual tonight. Probably from 4pm until I get all those tracks digitized...lucky you! Might take me a few hours though I don't have the acapella tape on me. Be sure to tune in. I have some wonderful new music for you all!
Don't forget to check out my website too. There are some new photos posted: aenderphotography.com

Episode...who knows.
So I was away for a couple weeks and couldn't make it into the studio for the show but I'm back and have, at this point, totally lost track of the show orderings. From now on I'll just be posting points of interest since I have no internet at home.
This past Friday we had Burlington High School's The Burlingtones for an accapella performance in the studio. Chris and I figured out how to record the shows and post them online with a boombox, cassette tape, 1/8" to 1/8" wire and Garageband...so if you missed the show, I'll be posting a few MP3s soon enough! I'll also be catalouging some of our ridiculous PSAs if you missed those too.
Thanks for tuning in!

Episode 6
(PHOTOS COMING SOON!)
I believe this has been the craziest and most disorganized show yet...If you missed it, I am so sorry that Sean hasn't been up to set-up the line-out yet...
Chris held it down from 4:30-6pm with his fantastic collection of world music and then Wyatt attempted to take over for a bit. Unfortunately, that's where everything went wrong. We moved a computer into the station to run a program but turns out the headphone jack wasn't working. While fiddling with some inputs at the back a few guys showed up from Richmond, Virginia. Why, you say? To guest appear on our show apparently... and you know that was totally cool with me!
Mark and I ran out to check out Michael Heeney's new show at Designhaus (22 Church St., 2nd Fl.) giving the band some time to get their gear. We gathered a small posse on the way back to the studio and when we put the band on the air we gave it a listen on the radio...it sounded TERRIBLE!!! and we were HORRIFIED to say the least. I messed around with the EQ for a bit but eventually we ended up breaking the radio. We tried streaming from online, but that decided to not work either, so Mark and I told the band to keep playing and booked it downstairs to pay the wonderful guys at Bueno Y Sano a visit to see if we could stream it from their computer. No go. Back up to the second floor to ask Sumru at 215 College Gallery about a functioning radio...she didn't have one either but we were all distracted by the sound of CRASHING glass...a guy was holding onto the window frame and said he tried to push it up...but it just fell out. Back downstairs to meet a couple fireman who heard the crash...luckily no one was hurt. So our last resort ended up working out pretty well for us...we waited for the next red light and ran up to a woman in her car...she looked hesitant at first (who wouldn't at the sight of two desperate looking teenagers standing outside your car looking at you) and then rolled down her window. We asked her to tune into the station and guess what....it sounded GREAT! Turns out the speakers were all broken and sucky on OUR radio... PHEW..What a satisfying feeling! Thanks to that wonderful lady by the way (her name is Jessica and she owns this fantastic little bar called the Half Lounge on the last pedestrian block on Church St.) Yay!
The band who appeared on our doorstep and made a guest appearance are called Peoples Blues of Richmond and they were absolutely fantastical. Everyone up at the studio totally enjoyed the show and we're all going out to see them tonight at 416 Pearl St. They'll be playing a house party for their friend's graduation party. See you there!

Episode 5
(Wyatt at the boards...)
Oh man, this past Friday made me tired! Seems spinning music for nearly 3 1/2 hours will do that to you. Thanks so much to Wyatt Peck for the wonderful music! Chris, unfortunately, couldn't make it for this episode because he had his wisdom teeth pulled the previous day. EEk! We had a blast anyways!!! There was a random bike race, Wyatt and I did a "be nice to French people" service announcement...I feel sorry for whoever missed that..., and we caused general riots within the surrounding mile radius.
(<---- Wyatt was upset that he didn't sprint down the stairs fast enough to catch the bike race...)
Track listing from my end coming soon...forgot my notebook at Higher Ground last night during the Twiddle and Greyspoke show (they were both pretty awesome!). Until Friday!

Episode 4
Soooo...I totally spaced on putting in an entry for the last episode (Episode 4) last week...Whoops! Can I use my crazy schedule as an excuse?! Anyways, no track listing for that show unforetunately, but there will be for Episode 5 which I will be posting a little later...
Chris and I have started a little series for the show involving a nifty record compilation of 70s dance music and instructions for the dances on the album sleeve. Tune in to hear myself, Chris, and whoever else happens to be in the studio spinning a new track and reading those instructions. You'll get a kick out of it....GUARANTEED! He he.
Also, save the date: Friday, May 29th, we'll be throwing a dance party in City Hall Park! Wyatt, Chris, and I will be rotating at the station and spinning lots of amazing dance tunes. 5-7pm. Bring your boombox! See you there!
Since I don't have any photos from the studio, enjoy a couple from the benefit show at Speaking Volumes (our wonderful sponsor!) on May 17th.

Episode 3
Soooo...for those of you who missed the show, I unfortunately don't have a podcast for this episode either though Sean, the amazing handyman that he is, will be helping me setup a line-out from the board soon so you won't be out of luck much longer.

We had a few guests this time around and managed to gain more than an hour of extra air time because no one shows up for their shows before and after us...RAD! Chris had a bunch of his friends up, a good portion of the fantastical techno/dance/house was from Wyatt who is new in town. We also had Dave Besset/Habit up for a little freestyle on the mic. He won WRUV's rap battle the other night at Metronome. He will be battling Mecca at the Talib Kweli show for $600..don't miss it!
P.S. Please excuse my extremely blurry photos...there isn't a whole lotta light in the studio.
TRACK LISTING COMING SOOOOON! (Like, la
ter today...)
